Guest James Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 i had a problem with Smart Explorer and some other users have also found this:- http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php...er=asc&start=15 have you tried a re-start?
Guest A.Hughes Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 Thanks mate, i found some stuff after i posted the topic, just waiting to see if the SE 2b gets posted soon, although i have just formatted my SD card to see whether the mighty E200 actually reads it properly,,,,evrythin xrossed.
Guest shadamehr Posted February 18, 2004 Report Posted February 18, 2004 If the Maxell is a MULTI cell card, then you will have the same problems as Viking, etc etc. Multi cell based cards seem to cause the E200 problems WRITING, but not normally reading an already prepared card. The real culprit is of course the E200 though.
Guest A.Hughes Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Just had a thought about all this bug stuff with the E200, i am sending a mailo to microsoft today to see whether they can help,,,,,,the reason, they designed the the thing, orange are only the network operator and didnt design it, although they should puill their finger out and get it sorted. Me thinks they are also speaking with microsoft, but not doing a very good job!!! If i get a response i will post on the forum,,,orange are not offering the E200 free for nothing, it could be that they concede there are issues and want rid of the problem!!! It aint that simple boys, we have rights and they are for equipment which performs as it says it should do in the marketing blurb and manual.
Guest shadamehr Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Nice idea mate. Except there is a straightforward structure in place through the various licencing platforms etc. And this, as anyone on here will tell you, is that the VENDOR (which for the E200 on Orange, IS Orange), is responsible for patches, ROM updates, and fixes.
Guest A.Hughes Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Well lets see who responds first, i see in the news forum an E200 update is pending, maybe orange have a chance of salvation, if its here before the easter bunny that is, soz for being synical, but hey, look what happened to the E100 update and the back up tool, thought that they had got lost with the MArs mission....tee hee
