CoolSmartphone have posted what they claim are photos of the motorola MPx220 and MPx300.

Hof off the presses are these very hush-hush shots of the Motorola MPx range, due to be released soon. These have been sent in anonymously and show more of the MPx220, plus the MPx - which we haven't seen much of at all ! You know where you saw it first folks.. There are apparently two versions of the MPx220, one black and one silver.

On the Motorola websites there are of course no mention of the 2 phones and as yet no official pictures.

Surely the stylus with the MPX-300 means that it can't be an MS Smartphone?!?

Loving the look of the 220 though, only 11 more months till upgrade time...

well they definitely look genuine - has anyone got any specs on it? :)

the third phone is definatly not an MS smartphone, it has a stylus and the screen dimensions look different. Nice to know there will be a black mpx220 though :)

Well folks, I've been hoping Motorola would release a Smartphone that WASN'T a clamsell design and seems I'm gonna get my wish.

Just checked www.coolsmartphone.com for more info on the 220 and 300 and was chuffed to discover a rather cool looking MPX100 which coolsmartphone is claiming the world exclusive for revealing.

It looks similar to the recent Motorola 3 phone but should be a bit smaller with Windows Mobile 2003, camera AND Bluetooth!

As much as I love my E200 I can't wait to check the 100 out. Hope it doesn't cost an arm and a leg...

Any one know which companies will be offering these phones? I'm with Orange on an original SPV and it would be nice to do some sort of upgrade deal with them for an MPX220 - apparently I'm due one in May and could get a free e200 but it might be worth waiting now

It's good to see that they seem to have got rid of the crappy jog dial of the MPx200. Saying that, it's the implementation that's rubbish, not the concept. I really loved the jog dial of my Sonys in the past.

I reckon because it's screen resolution is going to be larger than 2003 allows for. However, I would assume that means it's Pocket PC Phone Edition.

Pradaboy: How do You figure?

like kyrkesmith said the screen resolution will be bigger and also by having 2 ways to open the clamshell it should support landscape mode too.

Sounds like the phone for me. So glad that the cameras 1.2mega pixels. I've been saving for this phone since December, and right now I'm so glad that I have been.

There's no question. It's definately a PPC phone edition.

A Smartphone can't have a stylus or touchscreen (at least by Microsoft's definition).

That MPx300 one shows what a cool device it is going to be (and it might just help MoDaCo Smartphone's "Sister site" take off too :)).

I understand that MPx220 one is only an artists impression. If the outer screen really is like that, I don't know what to think. It's certainly cool, but maybe not so nice on the battery life.

I remember hearing December, but that was when we all thought it would be an MS Smartphone, which it now looks like its not. This could mean that they'll release both the 220 and the 300 at the same time, as ones not directly better than the other.

Maybe. Maybe earlier. Maybe later. Basically, no one has the faintest idea.
