Guest kyrkesmith Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Does this mean you can listen to WMP on bluetooth headset?
Guest beersoft Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 damn i have a day off and it all kicks off later owen Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest verbetex Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Sweet! I'm starting saving from today!!
Guest neilfenstein Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Looks like your going to need to save, the mini sd cards it uses are only just coming out. Which means not only is it probably not going to come out for a while but it is going to cost a bomb for a new mini sd card when you get it!
Guest morpheus2702 Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Mini SD card? FFS, what the hell's that? Does this mean we can't use our existing SD/MMC cards with the MPx220? So much for Smartphone specs being fixed!
Guest James Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 nice specs! need a decent camera.. and a flash! :) Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest Crispy Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 1.3Mbit, that would be 1280x1024 ... and blitz! ... *drool*! :)
Guest CPhoenix Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Quad Band??? - I would have preferred them to include CDMA for use in Japan rather than the extra GSM frequency >_< Still the camera & Bluetooth is rather tasty..
Guest ratcom Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Nice very very nice! I cannot remember being this excitered about a new handset (believe me Ive been at front of many a queue on release days) :) The only hangup like "morpheus2702" said is that mini sd slot ..... more money!
Guest kyrkesmith Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Yeah, if this is right and it is a Mini SD, it's a bit rubbish in the short term (higher cost etc.), but it's also nice to see that they're moving to an even smarter format. Does Mini SD comply with the MS specifications?
Guest dj_linz6 Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Theyve been using mini-sd cards in phones in japan for a while now :) i dont really see the benefit.. its not like sd cards are very big anyway!! u get a normal dummy sd card to mount the mini card in when using the card reader.. anyway, i have to say this phone has amazing specs!!! althought i like the look of the mpx300 more.. hopefully that has a 1.3Megapixel camera aswell :D:D:D
Guest morpheus2702 Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Is it me, or is there tumbleweed blowing across the Orange SPV ranch at the moment? I mean, with the announcement of the MPx220, 100 and 300, HTC are no longer the vanguard of the Windows Smartphone. Or if these new Motos are released on all networks, Orange isn't going to be holder of the Windows Smartphone torch (get me, all lyrical tonight!) Anyone heard from Mr Orange recently?
Guest morpheus2702 Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 Incidentally. is there any word on the processor specs?
Guest Highl1 Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 i cant wait for this :) great specs,it would be the best phone on the market
Guest [email protected] Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 About SD-card size, look here and tell me it's not big.
Guest McHale Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 crap! mini SD?!?!? Then I STILL have no hope for 802.11b! :) -Mc
Guest Maverick Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 MiniSD?? arrghh.. Sometimes I just hate New technology :-s !!
Guest dgoutz Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 I hope the price will not amaze me like the specs did.... Does anyone believe it will cost more than 500Euros?? I am kind of crazy about it but I don't want to go to jail for it,Right
Guest Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Any word on release dates? Dgoutz - The Kill Bill poster you have as your avatar is my homescreen on my SPV! :)
Guest Coucou Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Anyone seen the mock-up pic on coolsmartphone of the external screen? Looks a bit too big to me, I'm sure that the genuine photos show a somewhat smaller area on the outside.
Guest [email protected] Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Yes, the entire phone looks different, but it states that it is an "artists impression".
Guest Coucou Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 I know it's an artist's impression, hence my using the word 'mock-up'. However I think you might as well have a realistic mock-up. On the genuine photo's there's an area which looks like it should be the external screen, on the mock-up the screen's about twice that size.
Guest mattscholey Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 crap! mini SD?!?!? Then I STILL have no hope for 802.11b! :) -Mc I don't mind that much having to invest in a new card. I can sell my old one for a bit on ebay, and maybe treat myself to 512MB's. It's Wi-fi support that would concern me. I know that SD wi-fi cards are coming out soon for smartphone, but will there be mini-SD cards. As I understand the cards acutally already out for PPC, it's just the drivers for Smartphone that need releasing. So maybe we could use the SD card drivers for a mini-SD wifi crad, which is already out for some PPC? Anyone know if this will work. Wi-fi will be a serious factor in upgrading to a new phone. Still want it though. I could probably live without Wi-fi if it had HSCSD, or long-range Bluetooth (and I could find a standalone router). Matt
Guest dgoutz Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 The past 2 days there is too much activity about the Mpx 220. First the real pictures(ain't it a beauty or what????)-Then the specs.... I really hope tomorrow Paul puts up a new post with the subject: RELEASE DATE OF THE MPX220... :) :D
