Guest muerte8 Posted February 19, 2004 Report Posted February 19, 2004 I have recently come across the Agile Messanger App and started using it. In the middle of using it I began to wonder how it works. I noticed that while using it the GPRS in-use icon didnt come on my MPx200 and that my data connection wasnt being used at all. So i began wondering if the messanger is SMS based or WAP based. The only reason im trying to figure this out is because i dont have unlimited SMS or data on my phone and i dont want to drive my bill any higher then it already is. I think its SMS based, but not really sure. The app is freeware so im sure other people have it and probably know more about it then i do. Any help or input on this app will be greatly appreciated by me and my wallet :) .
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Hmmm that sounds odd indeed! Agile Messenger runs on GPRS when I use it.
Guest chrisc28 Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 It runs on GPRS. The fact that the GPRS symbol didn't show up could be due to many factors: 1) Your phone is configured to disconnect GPRS after being idle for some time 2) Just a software bug. This happened to me sometimes. Don't worry, it is not SMS based.
Guest muerte8 Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 it was just a software bug, it does indeed use GPRS.
