Guest Godfather Posted February 20, 2004 Report Posted February 20, 2004 Can anyone tell me how I can transfer lisenced media to my phone? I download a song off of napster and I tried using Windows Media Player 9.0 to transfer it to my Mpx200 but it failed and said that it is protected. Anyone have any ideas?? Would appreciate any help. Thanks!
Guest abeall Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 One solution is to convert the song in its current incarnation to a wav file and then to an mp3 file. Then you can copy it to your phone.
Guest ferret Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 Can't you just cut and paste it to your phone through active sync or am I missing something?
Guest squall Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 Can't you just cut and paste it to your phone through active sync or am I missing something? licenced music can be protected so you cant copy it to other computers etc, but it can also stop music being copied to mobile devices
Guest ferret Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 Oh I see, I've never switched it on, on my PC. Can't you burn it to CD then recopy it to your hard drive with protection set off in WMP?
Guest Belgarath Krall Posted March 15, 2004 Report Posted March 15, 2004 Can't you burn it to CD then recopy it to your hard drive with protection set off in WMP? That would work but sounds like a really crappy way of doing it, if you have nero 6 then you can open up wma files and re-save them, without the copyright protection as i understand it, the you can play your music where you please :)
