I just want to know the following things on my ORIGINAL SPV?

What is the spec of the colour screen? (How many colours etc)

Is a Kingston 512mb SD mem card a good choice to buy for the phone?

Is the camera good that you buy as a addon?

Does anyone have any other hints and tips for the phone?

And another thing, when i'm on the internet on the phone, i go to MSN messenger and it comes up with dial-up errors, saying that the settings are not correct...(even so i'm on the internet at the time) ???Anyone ideas...?

I'm new to this phone (got it this morning) so any help is very much appreciated!!

Thanx

Andy

--The screen has a resolution of 176 x 220 and 65000 colours. If you watch a video using PocketMPV (for DivX) or PocketTV (for MPEG) you can get some pretty good quality pictures (especially in PocketMPV).

--I don't know about Kingston cards but the larger the better really. I've got a unbranded 256Mb card which I can easily fill. Never had a problem with it either. Make sure you're not paying too much for the card. Have you shopped around.

--The camera should have come in the box with the original SPV (that's if you didn't buy just the handset, of course). The camera isn't the greatest piece kit for use in doors as it doesn't have a flash. Pictures tend to come out very dark and with a red tint (well on mine anyway). For use outside it's much better, but don't expect the quality of dedicated digital camera. Have a search through the forum for people who have posted their photos taken with their phones.

--Tips for using the phone are all over the forum but I'd recommend:

Having a look at the article section.

Checking out Monolithix's site, www.monolithix.org, where you'll find lots of freeware programs.

Make sure you have the lastiest update on your phone (1.61 update).

--I don't use Messenger so I don't know about that. I'm sure someone else will be able to sort you out in that repect.

Hope this helps :)

I believe that there are problems with kingston cards. Don't be fooled by the cheaper price. Look on eBay thats your best bet.
