how do i access internet on my SPV thru Activesync?

i have the SPV200 connected to my PC thru activesync and i was wondering how i can set up the internet on the SPV to access through my PC and it's broadband connection?

just wanted to try it out on the SPV, without using GPRS

Just go to Settings/Data connections and select Pass Through or Automatic.

Now when you are connected to Active sync you will use your PC's connection :)/

Just be aware that a lot of the Orange specific sites will not work this way, as they are set to only allow access if the Orange WAP gateway is used.

I just tried this and the internet works great, but msn doesnt work. Is there a way to sort this? And also, can I use a bluetooth dongle to connect to the net, so I can lay in bed and use msn/net?

I've got MSN working using my pc's connection over bluetooth :D/

Try e-bay for a bluetooth dongle. Got mine for about £12 :)

Don't know if you have the same problem as I had but in order to get MSN working through the ActiveSync pass-through I had to open port 1863 TCP outbound in my firewall. If you're using a firewall, try that and let us know how it went.
