Guest peekie Posted February 21, 2004 Report Posted February 21, 2004 US publication 'Pocket PC Magazine' has in the February issue a feature on Smartphone 2003, and has included the Orange SPV E200 in its test. The main part of the story focuses on the improvements over the older 2002 system - the .net compact framework included in ROM, and the Bluetooth functionality that the magazine claims is popular in Europe. The report goes on to say how Windows Media Player is improved in 2003 and that the 'addictive' Jawbreaker is included. The big question was on what they call a dilemma - should you buy a phone with 2002 as these are just hitting the us market or to wait for the 2003 smartphones. The magazine does not think there will be a ROM update for the Motorola and Samsung units and said even though T-Mobile announced they would do free upgrades on Pocket PC phones they doubt the other networks will follow. The article does not fully review the e200 as there are no mentions of the battery life, it's mainly about why the new OS version is better. To read the full article you need to buy the magazine, which can be bought in Europe and and in large newsagents in the UK.
