These may seem very stupid questions but here they go anyway.

If I want to intstall some thing on my spv I copy the exe to a folder but how do I run the exe? I don't see an exploere type app.

How do I install cab files?

I have tried copying some stuff over and got a message I do not have permissions.

I tried to play solataire :-)) what keys do you use? This drove me mad...

Maybe it's me but I have found the whole SPV thing a rigt pain in the butt.

I did mange to get the 1.6 update loaded after some advice in here but my god they don'y half make life difficult.

Maybe Apple wil go down the same road?

Solitaire is the number keys and * (each represents a pile of cards)

An explorer type app: try smartexplorer (do a search)

Installing CAB files. Either run them with Smartexplorer, or put them in the start menu (say the accessories) folder and open them from there.

You can get a free explorer app from Monolithix.org named SmartExplorer.

You can install Program files with the exe extension by using ActiveSync without using a file explorer on your phone. While the phone is connected to the PC, Open ActiveSync. Click on Explore. Copy the file to the programs directory. Create a shortcut for the program. Move the Shortcut to the IPSM/Windows/Start Menu folder. Then you can run it from your phone.

Be careful it is not an exe Setup Installer file that is supposed to be run from your PC.

To install Cab files....copy the CAB via ActiveSync to your accessories folder in your startmenu. Then run the cab file in your accessories folder from the phone.

Solitare has the numbers written directly over the cards in the game. Click the one you wat to move...then where you want it to go.

There is a SEARCH feature right at the top of the screen. All of these issues have already been discussed. There is also an excellent FAQ section on the site that will walk you thru many of the things you are asking.

Enjoy.

Also, your phone needs to be Application Unlocked to run some unsigned apps. If you are running an Orange Phone please click on OTA.
