Guest svk Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 Every once in a while ( I haven't figured out a pattern yet but it seems to occur at least daily), my phone displays a message that says: No home screen layouts can be found. Install a valid home screen layout and then select it using the Home Screen item in settings. If I simply turn the phone off and then back on again my home screen displays fine. Also, navigating to settings/home screen shows that my home screen is still selected. Simply selecting Done without making any changes gets my home screen back. Any ideas?
Guest drblow Posted February 22, 2004 Report Posted February 22, 2004 Strange! That error msg usually means there is an error in the homescreen xml relating to images, or images specified in the homscreen that can't be found. Seems odd for it to just happen randomly - but then, smartphones are odd things!! :) I have heard that this error msg can also mean the xml had corrupted in some way - but I still dunno how that would relate to your thing, if it fixes itself with a reboot!
