(They are cheaper on eBay but 3 don't sell just SIMs) If you are PAYG would you use it?
Guest James Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 Those phones are nasty buggy things... girlfriend has one :)
Guest mcwarre Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 I have one and I wouldn't say it is buggy at all. Annoying that you can only assign one number to a contact and the size of a house brick. But apart from that acceptable (not great)
Guest squall Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 and they have surprisingly good deals on calls do, the p&g prices are not as good as the contact ones though
Guest mcwarre Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 Squall. True but the main idea of PAYG is for people who can't pass credit checks (too young or bad record) and those who don't want to be tied for 12 months. I have a nice 3 contract (to add to my E50) which is £17.50 for 6 months with £20 cashback, free phone and 750 cross-network anytime minutes. A freebie or what!!!!!
Guest squall Posted February 23, 2004 Report Posted February 23, 2004 i still dont get how 3 can be so much cheaper than 02 when 3 uses the o2 network.
Guest Scarfman007 Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 3 doesn't use O2 network - O2 isn't 3G for a start, whereas 3 is. It's only when you're 'roaming' outside their 3g area that you use the O2 network and 3 pays O2 for your calls. I think part of the reason is that 3G networks have sooo much more bandwidth than 2G, and bandwidth = money. Also I heard that 3 make twice as much money per user than the other 2G networks. Could be part of the reason why I got 750 mins a month, a Symbian UIQ A920 PDA phone and £160 cashback for £17.50 for the first 3 months, then £35 after that (still damn good for 750 mins!) I don't claim that the phone is (much) better than an SPV (oops, should I have said that?!) - however my bank account is liking it lots :). Scarfman
Guest Will Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 7600 nokia (wierd but good phone).. on 3pay.. saving me money from 1 month in.. 179.99 at carphonewarehouse now. (7600 is sim unlocked, and 3 sim is not locked to 3 phones only - according to my research) Joy!! Will
