Guest Baddass Posted February 24, 2004 Report Posted February 24, 2004 ok, i like the orange format homescreen, but i want the shortcuts at the top to link to different programs. how can i simply edit it so they link to different appz that i use more often?? i dont need to change the icon sizes or anything, and im happy withe the shortcut icons for each program as they appear in the start menu for now thanks
Guest statscat Posted February 24, 2004 Report Posted February 24, 2004 Hiya, if you look at the top of the homescreen file (there are a few examples for download) you can edit the action="" parameter in the plugins if you change StorageWindowsStart MenuCall History.lnk etc to the location of the application that you want to go to then it will work fine and still show the icons. You can also alter the action of the plugin with the urls just put in the web pages you want. Searching for http in the file is probably the easiest way to locate the URLs as the "grouping" of the submenus makes the XML pretty full on.
Guest Baddass Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 cool, ill have a look at that 2nite. i can see its not too hard to change the link location for the shortcuts, and i see the "chicon" bit links to the relevent icon number how can i tell what icon number media player is for example?
Guest statscat Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 You don't need to do that in this case. If you want to use the app icon then just remove the icon="" argument ad the shortcut will get the default icon out for you without you having to tell it do so.
