Guest colingwalker Posted February 24, 2004 Report Posted February 24, 2004 0500 and 0800 numbers are free on Orange >>> Is it therefore possible to set up a dial up account using AOL which uses Free Phone Numbers. This would be mega Cheap way of getting connected !!!
Guest mcwarre Posted February 24, 2004 Report Posted February 24, 2004 Does AOL not use your phone number as well as logon/password to authenticate you? If so then it may not work. Give it a go and post the results....
Guest colingwalker Posted February 24, 2004 Report Posted February 24, 2004 Just checked AOL's T&C No charge will be made for your use of the AOL service during your Trial except where you (i) access the AOL service from outside the UK; (ii) use "premium services or areas" made available within the AOL service (which will be clearly marked as such); (iii) access the AOL service using an 0845 prefixed access number (here, telephone charges apply); (iv) access the AOL service from mobile phones. It appears that it may be possible, i'm downloading the latest version of AOL to give it a try, the best thing is they are currently giving 2 months trial free so if it does work then even cheaper !!! FREE
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted February 24, 2004 Report Posted February 24, 2004 0800 DATA is not free on Orange! P
