Guest neuronisis Posted February 24, 2004 Report Posted February 24, 2004 Hi, might sound a bit silly but when i listen to mp3's i only get sound out of 1 side. Is this normal? Hope some one can help, cheers. :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 24, 2004 Report Posted February 24, 2004 Sure they were not recorded in mono :) Not had that problem so you may have a dodgy wire?
Guest kyrkesmith Posted February 24, 2004 Report Posted February 24, 2004 Are you using the headset that came with your phone?
Guest neuronisis Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 Yeh, their the ones that came with the phone. Also the old earphones that came with my spv have the same problem. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest Shuflie Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 You absolutely sure that you are using the proper MPx200 headphones? If you are then they are most likely defective. The SPV ones will not work properly either since the plug is wired differently than on the MPx200.
Guest neuronisis Posted February 25, 2004 Report Posted February 25, 2004 yeh tried SPV and Mpx200. Still the same. However i fiddled around with the connection(plug) and socket i.e. pulled it out slightly and it works through both ears if you don't move it which is difficult. I feel it could be the socket on the phone or it could be the connection at the end of the earphones.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 THe SPV ones should not work but if the Moto ones are giving you exactly the same problem could be that you have the wrong set of headphones. Try the moto ones in an SPV and see if they work in stereo ok.
Guest mfissel Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 You need a 4 contact 2.5mm adaptor to use 3.5mm headsets. By pulling the plug out slightly your aligning the right conductors of a 3 contact plug for stereo. The 4 contact plug pushes all the way in. They use this for stereo and a mic.
