animated gifs on the home screen? can it be done?

A bit of a newbie question, but is there a way of getting animated gifs on the homescreen, just thinking it would be good for transition effects between screens, i know my e200 can play them through AI Album. Or even try and make the home screen a web page, which on the e200 IE supports animated gifs? can you tell i have no programing know how! :oops: just an idea?

There is something similar thou. TMR's LCD Final skin has two images that scroll vertically. Not entirely sure how its done but hopefully it'll form part of the solution...soon.

In the Powerpoint presentation that was floating around recently, Microsoft recommends against using animation on your plug-ins to save battery life. That suggest to me that you CAN make animated plug-ins. Interesting......
