Hard Reset, how?

How do you hard reset this phone? I tried following the article but it doesnt seem to be for this phone more the E100.

It does work actually.

I changed it to a text file and keep it on my PC, here's what it says:

7. Turn off the SPV.  Remove the battery for 30 seconds.

8. Hold the 'Voice Memo' button down while turning on the SPV. Straight away...

9. ...Press and hold the Action button (joystick middle button) for 2 seconds as instructed.  

10. Press 8 to select 'Erase IPSM data'.  

11. When it has finished doing this (it takes a while), it will say PASSED. Press the left direction pad twice and choose 3 to close the diagostics.  

12. On the three colour 'Canary PV' screen, hold the power button down. This will re-start the phone with the Orange Sunset screen.

Thats exactly what I did, it just doesnt work. But then my phone doesnt have the IPSM folder either

When I do what you said, get an instruction saying press any key to enter boot loader so i hold down action key and tricolor thingy comes up, with no options available

Try removing your SIM first?

k i'll try that. All what happens is that the phone goes to the tricolour screen with no options available. I've tried all combinations of key presses when starting the phone no luck.

just do the clear storage option in the menu. it will hard reset for you. take out sd card to be safe. Posted from my SmartPhone!

You have to press the Action button really really quickly, I can't help further really because I can't remember what I did when I did it - I've only done it once.

Hmm, I wonder if somethings changed with my phone being from a newer batch

got it to hard reset now, worked it out. Can someone send me the config files, seems to have lost my backup. email to [email protected] many thanks
