Question about Smartbatt Plugin

Apologies if this is redundant. I've searched and cannot find any information on this, including on Frieger's web site. I've installed Smartbatt and the associated plugin on my homescreen, but notice that it only measures the battery percent in 10% increments. It also does not give me an estimated battery life when fully charged; only after it drops to below 100%, which for me is 90%.

This is contrary to numerous screen shots I've seen that would indicate that it measures the battery percent/life more accurately. I only purchased this yesterday, and believe I have the latest version.

Am I missing something, or is there something device-specific to the Samsung I-600? I have Resco System Toys installed, and notice that the battery monitor for that program also is graduated in 10% increments.

But if Resco System Toys is also affected that could mean it's device specific...

Unfortunately, it's the i600. I've been monitoring the system calls and it appears that the hardware isn't reporting any more granular than the 10% increments.
