Guest fb Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 I understand that there's no backup battery built into our MPX200, but how come everything in memory remains intact after I remove the battery (fi, when my phone hangs)?
Guest [email protected] Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 It's a different type of memory from what Pocket PC's have and it doesn't need a backup battery. It will keep memory without any power whatsoever.
Guest Shuflie Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Strangely enough it also keeps the clock going too, try doing that without a powersource.
Guest mcwarre Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Shufflie, Didn't you know it use a sun-dail for that?
Guest Shuflie Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 AH! So it uses the oldest power source we have then :)
Guest [email protected] Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Keeps the clock going? As I understand it there is no backup battery. Maybe it gets the correct time from the network on boot.
Guest Shuflie Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Does it automatically correct the time if you set it wrong then?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 Sorry guys but there IS a back up battery in the phone. Look at my pictures, It's on the Keypad side of the circuit board at the bottom right. :)
