Guest paalooI600 Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Whats up i600 brethren... I am on my second week with the i600 and cant wait for the SP2003 bundle to be available. According to my local verizon guy along with some forums and websites.... looks like it is going to happen in few weeks. Anywho.... i am so tempted to buy a SD WI-FI card for this phone... but i have not seen any posts for it... Has anyone tried the SanDisk or the Socket SD WI-FI cards with i600? Are there any other available? Any related input is welcomed.... THANKS!
Guest meatgrinder Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 u'll have to wait for the i600 to be upgraded to smartphone 2003, once it has smartphone 2003 (and when the wi-fi card makers write drivers for the wi-fi sdio) it'll work fine :) Dave
Guest paalooI600 Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 mr. grinder... you have a source for this info? not to challenge your credibility... but i would like to see if it is a matter of the OS upgrade or the actual drivers. SD/IO is a standard protocol.. u can probably write the drivers yourself. Thanks for the reply...
Guest mark_k Posted April 4, 2004 Report Posted April 4, 2004 bump Nice bump paalooI600. I hope you get your answer.
Guest McHale Posted April 5, 2004 Report Posted April 5, 2004 nope. The i600 already supports SDIO now and WiFi works. It was advertised when the phone came out and someone already posted pics of it working. I don't have one so can't speak from experience but I do know I read someplace that WiFi cards work with it... -Mc
