Guest jackeyres Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 I like the idea of transferring my Palm m515 data to my phone. At first I thought the Treo 600 was the only option, but now I've discovered the SPV E200. Can I transfer data to this phone? Am I right in assuming I can surf the web on both? Any advice gratefully appreciated.
Guest nickcornaglia Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 You can use PocketMirror to sync your Palm calendar, contacts, tasks and notes with Outlook. Then sync the e200 with Outlook and all of your info will be there. You can indeed surf the web on a smartphone.
Guest jackeyres Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Thanks a lot. And just to confirm my ignorance - all windows PCs come with Outlook as standard? (this is is going to be a long old process)
Guest mcwarre Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Nope! Windows comes with Outlook Express. SPV E200 / MPx200 come with a full copy of Outlook 2000 so that will sort it out.
Guest jackeyres Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 So I download it from the phone to the PC?
Guest nickcornaglia Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Buy your e200. It will come with a copy of Outlook. Install Outlook. Sync you Palm with Outlook using PocketMirror. (Your info will go from the palm to the PC) Then sync your e200 with the PC (Your info will be copied from the PC to the phone)
Guest jackeyres Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Brilliant. Thanks for your help. Can't guarantee I won't be posting again in around 24 hours time though...
