Guest Dumdidum Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Hi wrote a message to RealMedia and asked if they plan to release a Smartphone Version of the RealPlayer! Here the answer: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you for contacting RealNetworks Technical Support. We appreciate your interest in our latest products, however, we maintain a policy of not commenting or speculating on any possible future products. RealNetworks posts all relevant information about current product releases on our Web site. Please visit it at: www.real.com periodically to get the latest about RN. ------------------ Also, I suggest you submit feedback regarding this. Visit the link given below for feedback. http://www.expressresponse.com/cgi-bin/pro...t=survey_1.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So please if you want the realplayer on your smartphone, go to the link above and write a short message that you want it :) I know some of you don't want one, but please - don't post that here again :D There are some who want it! (Then I can see my study on livestream :D)
Guest meatgrinder Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 lol, another thing like this :) wasnt this the same kinda idea as was behind hte flash player too? shame it wont ever happen :'( Dave
Guest Dumdidum Posted February 26, 2004 Report Posted February 26, 2004 Hm, if they are getting 500 remarks today they will think about it - that's the idea!
Guest BrAGoL Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 and i'm giving my vote on it! :)
Guest phonesmarts Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 Let's have us a "pole"! i'm in for a realplayer...and maybe even a Quicktime for SP (that'll be great, we could watch MP4, and .movs on our phones)
Guest ProfH Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 You can already watch mp4 files on your Smartphone, using Orange Media Player. It works OK, but there is no playlist support and I don't think it can read files from the storage card :-(
Guest roozbeh Posted February 28, 2004 Report Posted February 28, 2004 well i think you can hope of realplayer on smartphone soon.... as i am working on porting it to smartphone and also i know some other guys in this job.....hope it could be realease shortly.......
Guest jbrare Posted March 2, 2004 Report Posted March 2, 2004 Ive left a message for 'em - Come on - All sign it, it would be funky to have real player on the fone!!!!!
Guest HelloDave Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 Realplayer...yes All the spyware and junk that goes with it, err...no! I can just imagine if RN ported RealOne to SmartPhone you wouldn't be able to make calls through the constant barrage of "special offers" and "update reminders". Would you trust RealPlayer not to rack up your GPRS bill for uploading " performance statistics" when you weren't looking? :)
