ContactInsert V1.0

Twyx (the guy behind SmartInsert) has made a plugin for SmartInsert called ContactInsert! (Yup yup I guess you already knows what it does *hehe*)

Launch SmartInsert during an SMS or MMS - and select ContactInsert from the "plugin-page" - now search through your contacts (with T9 mode o/) and select the contacts mobile, home addresse or home phonenumber. A feature that I for one have been missing!!

you must have registerd copy of smartinsert to get it work

One slight problem, when you insert a contact'saddress it puts their postcode in the second line!

I'm also 'unsure' of how to launch it :oops:

EDIT : got it to work :D

Set it up the same way as Smart Insert.

The instructions led me to believe it was linked somehow to the smileys feature and the volume controls...I'm quite old you know :? :oops:

Launch SmartInsert .. press volume down twice and select "update" ... it should let you choose ContactInsert then!

Nope :)

I can launch Smart Insert and Contact Insert independantly via the usual x-bar shortcut method (which MoRFLeZ had to walk me through :? ) but when I'm in a new SMS, launch xbar, press 8 for Smart Insert and the smileys come up, press the volume down twice nothing happens !

SMART INSERT folder contains :

PLUGINS / ContactInsert.exe

QUICKLAUNCH / Insert contact.Ink

SmartInsert.exe

SmartInsert.lic

Shortcut to SmartInsert is in the xbar folder on the phone and works.

Is it dead obvious ?

And you say you've registered SmartInsert?

I startup a new text - press the actionbutton to bring up X-Bar .. select 8 (shortcut to SmartInsert) - press the volume down twice and the pluginspage popup .. select ContactInsert and my contactlist pops up and I can select a contact no problem!

I installed X-Bar on the phone - and SmartInsert and ContactInsert on the memory card!

Using X-Bar V2.0

Same here MoRFLeZ apart from running xbar 1.6

Loading xbar 2.0 causes my action button to stop working completely and after some furious adding / removing / reinstalling this morning I've had to hard reset :evil:

Had the same problem with the first version of X-Bar 2.0

But with the latest as kjk says .. I haven't had that problem even once!

I'm having a bad day all round - office PC has crashed twice already and I didn't get much sleep last night :evil:

When I've calmed down I'll try it all again but I'm also thinking of a complete hard reset (without Sprite restore, kjk :wink: ) to clean up completely.

You may well be right about the wrong version of 2.0
