Guest jackeyres Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 Does anyone know how much web browsing on a UK smartphone actually costs? The phone companies talk about MBs and add on packages, etc., but it's impossible to work out how much they charge - compared to say a regular phone call.
Guest Coucou Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 They don't charge by time online but by data transferred. that means that if you look at websites with lots of graphics it costs you more than low graphics versions for example. The only real way to find out what your bill will be is to install a Traffic Counter program. I have All-Locations Traffic Counter and find it useful but there are others and even a freeware one if you search hard enough. :) Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest jackeyres Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 Cheers. I'll search something out.
Guest mcwarre Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 The freeware one is called IMeter and also counts sms & mms
