Guest Howski Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 Hi, I just recived one of these babys and as a horrid newbi I have some questions, so here goes..... 1) Can the SPV E 200 run any smartphone app (I'd guess not)? 2) Can the SPV E 200 run a program for a normal SPV? 3) Is there any way for it to play a Mp3 as a ring tone? 4) Wheres the best place to find themesgamesapps? 5)Are there any essensial downloads (I have the orange update)? 6)Emus ..... any avalable? Guest DYL Posted February 27, 2004 Report Posted February 27, 2004 I can answer 3. :) It cannot play MP3s as a ringtone but will play WAV. So just change your mp3 to wav and your sorted m8.

Welcome to modaco!! :wink: If you use the search function of the forum, you will find answers to any questions like these. Also don't forget the F.A.Q. section! You can install cab files by simply copying them to your phone using activesync. I usually copy mine to storage card, but any folder you can accesss on the phone will do. Then find the cab fiole using a file explorer application, & just click it - it will install form there. Click the word tweaks for more info on customising stuff.

For menu ordering you want to get SurrealStart which is available on this forum. Most SPV software is cross-compatible but not all. The usual problems are mainly with games sound though. No but wma files play fine, encode using the free windows media encoder available at microsofts site 4) Wheres the best place to find themesgamesapps? Numerous sites, best looking themes are probably here. Games and apps at monolithix.org. Comercial ones are at handango.com 5)Are there any essensial downloads (I have the orange update)? PHM Reg editor, Binarys Task manager and Explorer and the cleartype cab 6)Emus ..... any avalable? Theres a gameboy colour emu available and some ace retro games like SPVInvaders
Guest okocha10 Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 hi, ive got a spv+ my contracts up. im thinkin of getting either a spv e200 or a sony ericsson t630. which one do you think i should get? apart from built in camera, what difference does e200 have to original spv? size, speed, ease of use???? also does the e200 have the really slow refresh rate on the camera like the original spv??

About the same size. Much faster going through menus etc. I found the joystick abit too fast at first but you get used to it. So ease of use about the same. Camera refresh rate is a lot faster, video is still quite choppy (recording/playback).

Guest Disco Stu Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 I believe you can get remote control software from the MSDN Library. There is a GPRS monitor avaliable from All-Locations and we're waiting for a more comprehensive application from i-Meter.
