Action Engine has announced it will launch a front of house platform for most brands of smartphone.

The software will allow operators to have there own menus instead of or in addition to the smartphones own menu system, much in the way O2 active works on the XDA2.

Seems like a big step backward....

I think this would be good for business's who buy maybe 50 phones etc, would allow them to have there own apps in a controlled enviroment, but dont really want to buy a phone with this installed for individual use.
