Guest awarner [MVP] Posted February 29, 2004 Report Posted February 29, 2004 Simply put nope :) Moved to Help and Advice
Guest shadamehr Posted March 7, 2004 Report Posted March 7, 2004 But HOW? Or was that just a screenshot mock up?
Guest nickcornaglia Posted March 7, 2004 Report Posted March 7, 2004 Second thread with that type of simple response with a screenshot. Giving you the benefit of the doubt...could you at least explain what it is that you are doing to allow other fonts to be used on your phone to show us how it is possible?
Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted March 7, 2004 Report Posted March 7, 2004 Hummmm... could be interesting. very interestring.
Guest MrMagoo Posted March 7, 2004 Report Posted March 7, 2004 No, they are not mock-ups but I am not ready to release details yet because the method of doing this is not reliable ( at 2am last night I thought I had definitely got a reliable method - but this morning it doesn't work!) It involves using an app I wrote to install the font BEFORE home.exe runs - and this is perhaps where the problem lies... More news shortly I hope... IF anyone knows how to tell home.exe to reload / restart - that would be a possible solution
Guest AdrianFRST Posted March 7, 2004 Report Posted March 7, 2004 You could package another font as "Nina". By this I mean one that is called nina.ttf and identifies itself to the OS as Nina, but contains the letter forms from another typeface. Not sure why you'd want to. Nina is pretty much perfect for this application - easily readable at small sizes.
Guest MrMagoo Posted March 7, 2004 Report Posted March 7, 2004 see Font Installer for details of how to do this
