the most bizarre thing! (take note readers with no signal)

I own SPV E100 - sim unlocked. a month ago i suddenly lost the signal, O diagnosed a handset fault.

I tried everything short of taking the phone to bits (did enough of that with the orig spv!). So i had pretty much given up, until i had a casual chat with awarner. I had tried everything else, so he suggested i reinstall the OS (not hard reset) I did this simply by rerunning the 1.6 update - (i didnt think this would install again, but it passed the version check no problem)

so on reboot etc The signal bar shot up to 3 bars!

Now on considering this, i believe that the sim unlock i used must have corrupted the os at a level not replaced on doing a hard reset. so if anyone else has a similar problem give it a try!!!
