Guest Mr_Protozoa Posted February 29, 2004 Report Posted February 29, 2004 Sorry if this doens't make much sence - it's early in the morning and I didn't get to bed till 3:30 and now i've got to go to work! You'll either need both computers connected to a hub/switch or similar with regular network cables. Or you can connect directly between two machines with a 'crossed' cable. Hopefully you're running winXP on both machines - or at least on the server. ICS was pretty poor on earlier versions of windows. Make sure both machines are setup on the same workgroup. On the sever (the one with the internet connection) make sure you've got ICS enabled. (Modem Connections Properties>Advanced>Tick both ICS boxes). You may want to disable the windows firewall and install something better too! On the other computer (in the same workgroup) make sure you can see the server e.g. server Then go to internet exploerer properties>Connections Tab>Setup> Tell the wizard you connect through another computer (LAN). It should automatically sort itself out from here on in. Hope this was of some help. If not - post some details here and I'll have a look at it for you.

(11 hours of sleep last night - wooo!)
