Pocket MPV problem

Every time I use PocketMPV, watch a video, then try to close it, it doesnt close. It wont close with binary's task manager, and I cant play another video file. It just freezes. Is there a cure for this?

This is a bug in the port, if you watch a vid in its entirity theres no problem though. I believe there is a fix for this but can't remember where
