Guest martin Posted February 29, 2004 Report Posted February 29, 2004 Hi alamr Try this... Programs-Settings-Data conenctions Menu-Edit Connections Create proxy connection Description: WAP Proxy Connects from: The Internet Connects to: WAP Network Proxy(name:port): 192.168.123.123 Type: WAP user name: Password : Create CSD dial-up connection Description: GPWAP Connects to: The Internet Country code: 880 Dialling code: Phone number: 202020 User name: wap Password: gpwap Domain: * You may have to enter a 0 in the dialling code to the create connection but then re-edit the connection and delete the 0. In data connection make 'WAP connection : GPWAP' In internet Explorer, Menu-Options-Connections untick 'auto detect settings' and make 'Select Network : WAP network' Homepage is wsp://wap.gpwap.net If the dialup fails when using the country code(880)+Phone number(202020)then you probably need to dialup to the network using the Phone number only. This can be done by changing the registry. Let us know and I'll PM you the details :)
Guest alamr Posted March 1, 2004 Report Posted March 1, 2004 Hi Martin, Thanks for the response. I followed your instructions but still get "Unable to place call". I think it is because of the country code, because if I just call 202020 i can hear beeps and noises. Therefore somehow I have to make the phone not use the country code nor the area code. I tried edit and reedit, but everytime it just types 0 in the country code even though I keep it blank. I have the PHM Registry editor installed so can you please guide me through the steps. Thank you
