Hey my mates got a Nokia N-Gage and Tomb Raidor on a little SD Card which he puts into the phone to play the game...

i was playing it then realised why not try it in my spv...but it didnt work...ofcoarse i mean it probably needs a emulator or something...

however i could browse throuugh the SD card and go through all the folders of the game and it all seemed compatible...i loaded all the images (GIF and JPG) and the worked fine...

PLEASE SOMONE Rigg it to work for SPVS...it would be WICKED!....

although im not sure if Nokia N-Gage are faster in CPU then SPVs such as the Qtek 7070? are they? maybe they have a GPU? i dunno but someone give it a shot...cant be too hard...

hehe, i think what he meant to say was that the operating systems are different, so you cannot put ngage games on the MS Smartphone, although, to be honest, i dont think much from the ngage, and it doesnt look as though it will last much longer. Nokia has admitted sales have been pretty terrible, with only 25% of their expected sales.

Oh, and in theory you could emulate it, but it would be so slow it really wouldnt be worth it (even gameboy emulator is slow)

Oh and just to correct you even more bluntsideQtek7070 (poor you, getting picked on ;-) ), the Nokia N-gage does NOT use SD cards.

I could explain the difference, but in simple terms, try putting one of your SD cards into your freind's N-gage, and I think you'll quickly see what I mean.

Don't push TOO hard though.

And like midnight says, just becuase the actual storage card looks the same (giving the game away from my last little challenge, the N-gage uses a Multi-media Card or MMC as its called, which is the same size as an SD Card, but HALF as thick - the E200, can therefore use EITHER, but not the other way round), this has nothing to do with the software written on the card, which could contain a hundred different platforms.

If I wrote a game in Linux, or BeOs, or Symbian, I could easily burn it onto a CD.

A CD ROM drive is built into my PC, so I can place the actual CD into it.

But can I RUN the game on a Windows PC? Nope - its a Linux game.

The issue of the physical hardware being the same is of no significance.

Aside from which, as I just pointed out, and you are welcome to try, they are actually NOT the same in this case anyway - try sticking a true SD card in an N-Gage, and you'll understand.

And please remember, we aren't REALLY being nasty - we're only teasing a little - welcome to the board. Anything else confusing you, have a look, and if you can't find it already covered, just mention it, and we'll all help if we can.

No, of course not  !

I'm pretty sure this has been covered before, so (and I wanna hear you all saying this with me):

"Search before you post - it's probably already been covered"

Oh dear I'm feeling in a weird mood today  !

There's loads of good games, of course you know about this forum, where you can get xRick Dangerous - newly done for SPVe200 - other freeware games can be found here too. Also I recommend you go to Coolsmartphone.com, monolithix.org, MSMobilenews.com, and for some paid-for games and a few free games go to smartphone.net and handango.com. In Paid-for games Tennis Addict is fun, if a little easy, Toki-Tori is a superb puzzle game that looks great. There are loads more so take your time and when you're getting started remember that it's always wise to go for games (and indeed any software) that give you a trial before you have to buy.

Hope this helps :)

Settle down boys and girls.we were discussing in a thread in Off Topic "Modaco should get an award" about how other sites give noobs a hard time and singing our praises for not doing the same in here.he had a genuine question he wanted an answer to so dont give him too hard a time.

would Vice city work then? no,no stop now thats silly forget I even wrote that.........
