I knew it would be expensive...but...ouch

Just back from Australia...and my latest bill from Orange UK, not that bad actually, but how can that kind of rate for GPRS be justified?! Whatever happened to the flat rate GPRS petition...did it get passed on to anyone in power? My only confort is that I'm still able to use my Orange mobile to call down under for 4p/min...hehe :)

That must be Roaming... right?

:)

Always a stinger- as I found out a while back when I ran up a phone bill in two weeks in Italy & Greece that was more than my monthly rent for a flat in Bayswater...

Yup they well and truly sting you when you are roaming. I remember when i was skiiing i thought i would pick up the footy result (so thats only a few WAP pages) and it still cost me £1.89!!!!!!

same as that. just used my orange SIM in a GPRS data card to listen to the radio for a couple of hours. always used to just pass the costs on to my company but having to pay myself this time. Nearly 300 quid to listen to the radio (and do a bit of work) must be the most expensive radio ever!

tell me about it. 1 afternoon on radio 1 - now I'm glad I can't get realplayer streaming on my phone!! Think of the downloads I could have had - I could have paid for days of tunes!!
