What is the ideal video size for my MPx200?

I want to rip an entire DVD movie to a small size optimized for the smartphone. If the movie is postage-stamp sized with poor quality sound, it shouldn't be that big and should fit on a 256MB SD card. Has anyone done this?

there is i very good media encoding guide in there..

you can get a whole film down to about 90 meg! using divx..
