has anyone noticed the irony in htc's naming of the phones?

-- canary - used to test the market and see what happens, maybe if it works ok and doesnt keel over in the smoke then we'll try something a bit more serious...

-- tanager - a pointless, but good looking singing american bird - the phone was exactly the same as the spv, it was just a little softer on the eye!!

-- voyager - we're still on the journey, but we're not quite there yet! maybe on this 'voyage' we'll actually get to the phone that we have all been waiting for!!!

somehow i feel like we have all been beta testers without being told about it. So eventually, maybe there will be the HTC destination, which has a perfectly sounding speaker, the battery lasts 1 week, the keys all work properly, the bluetooth can access any other device which has bluetooth, and can actually do something useful with it, and all of the other gripes that should have been ironed out in the development stage!

I get the distinct impression that in an attempt to be the first on the market we have all had to put up with a product which has, i grant you, more features and flexibility that any other phone on the market, but honestly, do you think that if they had held off for another year, not spent all that money on marketing and producing the spv and e100, used the revenue to develop the voyager in the first place we would all be a lot better off and much happier. I mean come on... a phone that can do everything apart from actually make decen phone calls? are we having our pants pulled down or what!!!!

I'm sorry if i have been rantig on for a little while but i have had a particuarly bad day and i'm quite fed up, so i'm taking it out on you all!!!!! hahahahha

so anyway, thats my two penneth. enjoy!

Last one was Voyager, so obviously:

Enterprise!

First impression is good, then you realise this is the same old s*** they've been pushing out for years.

They will try and update it halfway through its life...

Think about it:

1. How many anomalies have you encountered on your Smartphone?

2. Does time seem to stop (as you wait for a menu to open)?

3. How many times do you scream 'I just dinnae have the power' as the low battery warning appears?
