Whats the standard cost of accesing the internet from my e200?

Does it vary on talk plans?

Can i pay a monthly fee to cover my connection like i do with broadband?

Dont want a nasty surprise when my bill arrives

I spoke to Orange about this and it seems that, on my tariff at least (Talk200), GPRS is £3/MB of data rather than a /minute charge. At the time I wasn't interested in other tariffs so I didn't ask I'm afraid. Call Orange on 150 from your SPV (it's free) to check if there might be a difference on your tariff.

It doesn't vary with call plans but you can buy bundles of data to make it cheaper. As an example I currently pay £6/mo for 5MB plus 10 SMS plus 20MMS plus 5 Vid Messages in a bundle called World Access 5. Give Orange a call and discuss your requirements with them.
