Guest james srs2 Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 IT MAKE'S EXACTLY THE SAME NOISE AS MY NEW E200 I HAVE SENT BACK TO ORANGE!!!!!!!! SO IS THE PROBLEM WE ARE HAVING WITH SOUND QUALITY SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE NETWORK OR EVEN THE FACT THAT THEY ARE TRI BAND, OR SOMTHING ELSE, I AM JUST GUESSING NOW, MAYBE THIS WILL GIVE THE TECHNICAL MINDED PEOPLE ON HERE AN IDEA OF WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE NEW HANDSETS! I HOPE!!!!!
Guest Pulse Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 I beleive you're looking for this button
Guest pisquee Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 I have mentioned on one of the other threads, that I can hear the same noise/distortion on a Nokia 6210, although not quite as blatent, they are there.
Guest Disco Stu Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 FWIW the sound quality on my E200 is better than my BT landline !
Guest FRiC Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 The buzzing is possibly network related. I have the O2 Xphone and with my regular carrier (TH AIS 900 MHz) it has really poor sound compared to every other phone I have. It has an echo and sounds like I'm inside the bathroom. Anyway, I just got a TH Orange 1800 MHz SIM to use the free GPRS and the sound improved tremendously! But with the improved sound also came a slight buzzing sound...
Guest james srs2 Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 I beleive you're looking for this button NO I WAS NOT!!!!!!
Guest drblow Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 I can understand why you're shouting ( :) ) - I have just received e200 no. 5 (which I was involved in a week long struggle with OCS to give me a brand new boxed replacement, instead of refurbished) & of course it has exactly the same buzzing noise in the speaker as all the rest of them. I am now immovably convinced that that is the way they ALL sound, anyone who says otherwise is either deaf, or ... I dunno ... insane!?!? :? You gotta hand it to Orange, like ... we are all the world's greatest resource of beta testers ever, and we PAY for the privilege!! Now if thats not clever, I dunno what is! I'm not having this. I'm on to CS to tell 'em that if the update due soon doesnt fix the speaker buzz, I'm off.
Guest jason76 Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 just received a new e200 as a replacement due to dogy card slot,my old e200 had a slight buzz when in call usually only when on things like 150,but the replacement e200 has more of a buzz and sounds realy bad when playing music or films through speaker. Fine through headset, got to be dogy speakers on some if not most e200
Guest james srs2 Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 my e200 was fine with music etc, sound quality was only bad on making and reciving calls!
Guest ncolli1981 Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 Maybe the buzzing sound on mobiles when making and receiving calls is something to do with the new government phone call monitoring system ???????? or is that a bit of a conspiracy theory ?????? :)
Guest Skunkchild Posted March 18, 2004 Report Posted March 18, 2004 Hmmmmmm... lets get paranoid... I suppose you've all heard of Echelon. http://www.tinhat.com/surveillance/echelon.html
Guest wolmannn Posted May 19, 2004 Report Posted May 19, 2004 My E200 had perfect sound, but I had to return it after an unrelated problem (update crash) the replacement has the buzz. Sounds like a shoddy speaker to me. Hope orange will accept a second return in 2 days
Guest wolmannn Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 Well, they did accept the second return, but not the third (that buzz again)!! Will have to wait until tomorrow apparently. The shop let me try another handset, it was OK and my name is on it. Whish I never left everyday 50 and upgraded now. Do I have the record for the most returns for an E200? I will be on my fourth tomorrow. The buzz must be costing Orange a packet, methinks they won't let that happen again.
Guest chucky.egg Posted May 20, 2004 Report Posted May 20, 2004 The buzz must be costing Orange a packet, methinks they won't let that happen again. Gotta love an optimist!
