Guest pisquee Posted March 3, 2004 Report Posted March 3, 2004 Kinda quicrky and cool ... If it was free, cannot see how this is worth £5 ... can think of beter things to spend that money on.
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 Hmmm social software ey!? *G* Well it is "stated" as being sharedware - so I wonder what limitations it has. $9.99 (or whatnot) is waaaaay too much for something that you probably wont use more than once or twice just for testing!
Guest SmartGuy Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 hmm...this seems to be a cool tool. Something like friendster...only for mobile phones. anyway...going to try that out probably later. for my ppc and smartphone :)
Guest pisquee Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 But, if they are both your device, then you shouldn't be surprised if all your contacts match.
Guest FRiC Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 This would be nice if it's available for other smart phone platforms or as a Java applet for non smart phones. Most people I know have Series 60 phones...
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 But, if they are both your device, then you shouldn't be surprised if all your contacts match. LoL Naw but I really wanna see what this bugger does when it matches contacts! If you can trasfer contacts that aren't matched an so on and forth!
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 Surely this would work better if you uploaded your contacts to a server, as did others, and then it matched you with people that had contacts in common? P
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 "]Surely this would work better if you uploaded your contacts to a server, as did others, and then it matched you with people that had contacts in common? P Hmmm that's an interesting thought/idea ... in some sorta weird way!
Guest nedge2k Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 Im with paul. I mean, there aren't that many people that have smartphones and the chances of me, a student, bumping into someone else with a smartphone, i.e. a business type person, and having a) the software on both phones and b)the contacts in common, is a pretty slim one. I sold my SPV1 to my mate so it'd prob be a laugh to mess about with if it was free but paying for something that doesn't actually benefit you in any obvious way...waste of cash
Guest Crispy Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 Sounds a bit too weird ... Social Software? Chatting over contact lists? :? ... naaaw ...
Guest nvkid909 Posted March 5, 2004 Report Posted March 5, 2004 :) hahaha if u both have infrared & need to be standing face to face to align? cant u just ask the other person??!?
Guest Shuflie Posted March 7, 2004 Report Posted March 7, 2004 Well wouldn't that be like me asking you if you know anyone that I do, your first reaction would be "who do you know?". The problem is trying to remember everyone that you know, and if there is someone with a similar name, then working out if it is the same person. Do you see where I'm going with this?
