iMate Smartphone 2 / O2 xPhone

First, I want to say this is such a cool site, I have just started looking into getting a smartphone and was looking at either waiting for the Moto mpx100 or getting an iMate Smartphone2 or the xpHone.

My questions are...

are there any s/w, ROM, or firmware differences between the xphone vs the imate?

I have read that the e200, imate sp2, and xphone are identical, i presume this is based on hardware?
