Guest Sully Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 Hi All I decertified mine and the gf's phone as per instructions on this site, I did mine first and made a misstake so had to Hard Reset then did it again stored most of the files on SD card inc MMS setup and this mornning both our phones lost the SMS MMS E-Mail on the home page if I went into Inbox and pressed NEW nothing would happen, I checked E-Mail settings still there and when I switch the phone on it says alert unable to locate the UserInterface Resource File with the Heading at the top left hand corner MMS TIA :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 After a Hard Reset you will need to re-install the mms software from the cd that came with the phone.
Guest Sully Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 I did that and stored it to the SD card is that wrong should it be stored on the phone memory??
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 Yep it HAS to be on the phone's memory, I made the same mistake first time round.
Guest Sully Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 Pheeewwwww!!! :) :D :D Thanks for that awarner :D 8) the gf's just phoned Orange they said it's a phone fault and it will take ten days for them to give us a fault code  which would take us outside our fourteen days.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 oh dear the usual non experianced staff problem again #-o
Guest Sully Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 Remember Orange trains trainers 2 train trainers.......lmao :) :D Is there any other applications on the disc that have to instaled on the phone and not the SD card as I've just done a hard reset and stored MMS on the phone and would like to know before I go further
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 Nope no other apps as far as I'm aware then again there is nothing else worth installing from the cd any way :)
Guest Sully Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 What about Task Manager and Smart Explorer take it there ok to run for SD Card?? Cheers :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 4, 2004 Report Posted March 4, 2004 Yep all my apps run from the SD card (apart from the mms app) Just make sure you get the latest versions from www.binarys.com
Guest dean.howse Posted May 1, 2004 Report Posted May 1, 2004 I had the same problem, thanks for the advice. There are a lot of other people with the same problem, but all posted in different forums.
