Guest mjkaraoke Posted March 5, 2004 Report Posted March 5, 2004 Does anyone know of a good Alarm Clock that I can load into the i600? Every other $20 phone and every other $300 phone I've owned had a decent alarm clock.
Guest mark_k Posted March 5, 2004 Report Posted March 5, 2004 You mean you're looking for a different one then the one that is already in it? I don't know of any others. I just use the one that it came with.
Guest mjkaraoke Posted March 5, 2004 Report Posted March 5, 2004 I'm looking for one where I can have mulitple alarms, add a message so I know what the alarm was for, have recurring alarms, change the alarm sounds, and snooze the alarm. Also, the alarm that comes with the i600 only rings once. If you don't hear it, or feel it vibrate, you just miss it.
Guest rcnacura Posted March 5, 2004 Report Posted March 5, 2004 Why don't you just use outlook appointment or the tasks for that? I hardly ever use the alarm feature, just make an appointment that rings and rings and rings (for about 5 mins), then will ring for I think every 30 secs after that till you hit snooze or dismiss.
Guest azamsaghir Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 Why not buy xBar. The latest version now has Task Scheduler which allows you to execute tasks at set times. These include recurring ones. Azam
Guest mjkaraoke Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 Thanks guys, I'll try your suggestions.
Guest kedar Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 i too dislike the stock alarm. i regularly use the alarm function on my cell phones as they are impervious to power outages. and much cheaper cell phones have much better and smarter alarms than the one on smartphone 2002. there is an easy registry hack available somewhere in the forum. it will loop the alarm. i would copy and paste it for you but the phone's browser can not cut and paste. and there is a snooze function, but shouldn't the snooze time be user definable? my alarm is buggy in that the alarm occasionally goes off after i have dismissed it and then changed the battery. posted from my not so smart SmartPhone!
Guest FRiC Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 There's also pTravelAlarm, currently in beta. If you've registered the program for Pocket PC, etc., you can use the same code to register the Smartphone version.
Guest mjkaraoke Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 Where can I find pTravelAlarm? Thanks. MJ
Guest paulkbiba Posted March 12, 2004 Report Posted March 12, 2004 Go to www.burroak.on.ca/pta.html#ptsp It seems to work just fine on my phone.
