Guest manveruppd Posted March 5, 2004 Report Posted March 5, 2004 Does anyone know which folder on the SPV E200 are SMS messages stored in? Orange said that they need to send me a SIM update but my phone's storage has to be clear for it to work, and there are 3-4 old text messages I would like to back up onto my computer before I wipe everything so I can install the update. I've rummaged around in the /Storage folder but I can't find anything that looks like an Inbox folder... Anyone has any clues?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 5, 2004 Report Posted March 5, 2004 Recieved SMS are stored in the Storagecemail.vol file to save messages you need something like sms2mail available from www.monolithix.org this converts your SMS to email and then can be synced to your PC via Activsync. Another app is SMS cool http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=98078

I can copy the file back (replacing the blank one) after I've installed the SIM update.
