If I use the empty storage function on the e200, will I need to software unlock again??

The problem seems to be that after getting yet another replacement e200, I used the all-locations backup beta tool, to restore all my stuff. It all restored fine & everything works OK, but none of the programs installed on the phone (from the backup) appear in the remove programs list. Infact, now the ONLY thing in the list is all-locations back up tool!! :shock:

So, I want to empty the phone, & re-install everything, so it's all nice like. So I guess it's either physical hard reset, or empty storage function :evil:

Anybody know for sure if the empty storage does/does not remove the decert??

I've just used Clear Storage and found the same Add / Remove problem as yourself after a Sprite restore.

I'm 90% certain that the app. unlock had gone but as I was in a rage at the time you might want to wait for a more definitive answer.

What I can state is that OTA worked immediately - SMS within 5 minutes anyway.

I can confirm that empty storage DOES put the software lock back on. But the OTA unlock procedure does seem to be working very quickly these days, eh!? :)
