Guest midnight Posted March 5, 2004 Report Posted March 5, 2004 i looked into the license for this, Midway wont allow it cos they are making it for other mobile phones unfortunately this is the thing about old games, no, they aint hard to make, but its hard getting the license
Guest afroahmed Posted March 5, 2004 Report Posted March 5, 2004 couldnt someone make a simular game? it doesnt have to be called spyhunter and be like it in every single way
Guest nedge2k Posted March 5, 2004 Report Posted March 5, 2004 You can get it for NES. Runs at full speed. Excellent game.
Guest afroahmed Posted March 5, 2004 Report Posted March 5, 2004 sorry i do not know about nes..... or how to use emulators... are their any risks ect and where can i get it from
Guest phonesmarts Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 Yes, there are risks (you must own the game itself or delete it within 24 hours). I believe you can still get it at www.monolithix.org
Guest afroahmed Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 what do u mean delete within 24 hours?
Guest agent.m Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 if you download a nes rom off a site. the website owner assumes you own the rom or are downloading to evaluate/testing the rom and will delete it after 24 hours. eg if you own the original game keep it as long as u want if not test it then get rid of it or buy the original. NOTE: because rom site are being shutdown frequently i dont even think evaluating roms for 24 hours is legal
Guest midnight Posted March 6, 2004 Report Posted March 6, 2004 Rom sites have been looking for excuses to spread warez, simple as that, the eval thing for 24 hours is rubbish, it isnt true. And the 'you must own the original' excuse is full of holes (the owner of the rom site must own all the originals aswell, and some rom sites have hundreds of thousands of games), and they are allowing people to download these so called backups without proof of purchase. The problem is that many licenses are still active, and the companies still want to make money off them, like all the Atari, Midway, Taito games.
Guest phonesmarts Posted March 7, 2004 Report Posted March 7, 2004 everyone who actually downloads them knows the 24-hour thing is rubbish, since none of us really read the terms and conditions (we only seem to see in the page "I Agree"). i totally agree with you mid. but wouldnt it be nice to own the originals to all the roms you posted on the site!
