Lo folks.. I need a bit of help with my homescreen.. Basicallly, im customising the orange2 homescreen, and im having some problems..

Hers the code i have just now (its nearly the same as the orange 2 theme, just some text and links are different, as are the colours..)

Right.. Now the problems i have are :

In the first part of the selection thingie, the carrier and date/time.. I only want the date in there, with it centered.. I can get the date only, but not centered.. Any ideas?

2nd ) The 4item along (the calander section) it has an option for the alarm.. Whenever i click that, i get the shortcut not found message. (Becasue i rearanged the files and folders in my phone), so im gunna use the orange shortcut to imitate key presses to go to the alarm clock, but is this possible, while still displaying the alarm clock info?

3rd) Sorta the same, the last icon, where you can choose a ringtone. Im having the same problem as above. It shows the ringtone selected correctly, just wont let me change it..

4th) The orange icons.. Can i change them wothout the SDK?

5th) After the message alert plugin, i want to show the time, in a large font.. But anytime i try to use anything after the message plugin, it dosnt show. Any idea why?

Point 1,

try manipulating the X value associated with the date and if that doesn't work try using left-padding.

Point 2,

THere might be a way to double proxy the alarm plugin so the shortcut host a shortcut that in turn host the Orange alarm plugin. I think the handlekeys if removed stops the keys being passed on to the inner plugin (in this case the alarm) but should still allow the outer shortcut to send keys. I've never tried this so this is just *theory*

You can I guess use any icons that are installed on the phone, point the imagesource="" value at the dll of choice and then uses the icon="" to specify the resource. I think the default icon tends to start at 101.

I'm not sure what you mean by question 5. Do you want it to appear below the messaging plugin ? (the code didn't seem to have time after it)

Yeah, point 5, i took the time plugin out because it wasnt showing.. I was hoping to have the time right at the bottom of the screen, again, pref centered, but in a big font..

Can you have 2 time plugins on different lines?

It should be possible to repeat the same plugin twice.

add the code you are using as an attatchment I'll have a look and see if there is anything I can spot.

Sounds like some of your problems come from moving the settings shortcut out of the root start menu into a subfolder. Might be able to fix this by makeing a hidden shortcut to settings (like the one to voicemail) and put it in the start menu. To do this:

Copy the link to settings from your phone to your PC

Start a cmd prompt

Browse to the folder you coppied the link to

Type: attrib -s +h settings.lnk

Close the command prompt

Copy the link to the root of your start menu [if you can't see the link in File Explorer (because we just made it hidden) you may have to go Tools>Folder Options>View and make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked]
