is it possible that some startup files are useless in tanager smart phones? and can I remove some of these startup files just like some useless startups in our PC's?

depends on which startup files.

Some are needed for the phone to function correctly while others were put there by user installed programs. The latter could be deleted but the associated program may then not function correctly. It all depends.

Good advice is: know what you're doing before you do it.

I've got the E100 and whenever I do a hard reset I always remove everything from the startup folder (make the phone start a lot faster)

There are only two items in there now. IA Style Caller ID and IMeter both of which I have installed.

pocketcandy is not a 'default' startup app, you must have installed it.

Personally i would not remove anything else in that list, but feel free to experiment, as a hard reset will always bring them back (of course it clears everything from the phone too!)

You can back-up your address book using the in-built Orange service.

Very easy - just don't forget your username & password
