200 height plugins question??

What I would like to do is put a 200 height "carrier" plugin at the top of my homescreen, so that when it is just sitting there, I can have a huge, bright coloured time display, constantly on the phone. Then when I need to use it, I can just click down to get to the rest of the homescreen plugins - which are layed out in a normal one page format, where the total plugin heights equals 200.

But every time I try this, when I select the top 200 height carrier plugin & leave the phone, the screen migrates down to the other plugins after maybe 30 secs.

Has anybody else encountered this? Is it because the rest of the plugins aren't 200 - as in other multi screen homescreens? Or is it in the xml somewhere?
