SPV100 at snail pace

Changing the TimeZone takes 4eva. Well, 5 mins and 30 secs!

That cannot be normal... or?

I have nothing else running in the background. MP3's and movies do play ok without problems.

I seem to remember the SPV Canary taking a couple of minutes to do it, but 5 1/2 minutes is ridiculous !

Was your alarm set at the time ? That can cause problems when changing time zones

Nop alarm is not set and Yep it is quite ridiculus. Just changed the time Zone from +1 gmt to gmt and again 5+ mins before the phone started to respond.

i think it checks your schedule for alarms etc, although 5 mins is ridiculous. sure you're clearing out all your old appointments etc?
