Guest spartanrob Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 If i decide to unlock my phone, will it still work as it does today (obviously with the added features that were unlocked)? Thanks for your input.
Guest mpd98 Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 Do you mean decert it? If so yes, with all the added bonuses this brings. Or do you mean to really unlock it, and 'open' it up? Matt.
Guest spartanrob Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 I mean "open it up" so that i could use a differet carrier if i chose to.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 You mean SIM unlock :) Apart from being able to use other networks after SIM unlocking, there are no extra added features.
Guest kelv23 Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 If you find somewhere that is Sim Unlocking MPX's at a good price can you let me knoW.I've been to the sites that do it and for a few days they havent been providing the service for some reason.
Guest christoc Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 I've emailed this guy on ebay, if things turn out well I'll let you guys know. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=3083603170 I called AT&T and asked for a subsidy code and the lady got all pissy with me, saying that the codes were proprietary to AT&T and no provider would ever give them out....
Guest spartanrob Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 Please do, i am very curious to see your results.
Guest christoc Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 I just unlocked mine with GSMLocker.com, worked great! I must sound like an ad right now, but it really worked great, expensive at $69, but it works. I didn't want to wait for the guy from that ebay auction
Guest spartanrob Posted March 10, 2004 Report Posted March 10, 2004 Cool. $69 does seem like a lot though.
