Guest AngelOfRage Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 I have an original SPV and unfortunatly dont have access to download the MSN Messenger security upgrade patch via my PC so i was wondering if there is a way to download direct to the phone via GPRS? any help would be great.
Guest Will Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 just run the latest update, this will install the upgrade and many other things that are fixed in the spv/e100. and it will remain after hard resetting. Be aware that altho there is a backup tool, it does not work too well! so you will probably loose all personal data (so copy it to outlook first).
Guest AngelOfRage Posted March 8, 2004 Report Posted March 8, 2004 I think i may have worded my question wrong. im after a downloadable file (.cab?) that will perform the upgrade as i dont have internet access on my ActiveSync pc to download it first then install via ActiveSynch. is it possible to fix MSN using a download direct to the phone?
Guest Will Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 nope . not possible . sorry! Only via updates, you'll have to download and burn to cd or something! Will
Guest AngelOfRage Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 hmm... not really an option then, looks like ill have to go without an Instant Messanger then. Agile has stopped worked and does not auto download and install the new beta version.
