Guest wimpie3 Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 Just got my phone bill, and I noticed that during two random days, my E100 made GPRS calls during eight ours. The connections were about one minute apart, and the transferred data was 2kb each time. Since I have to pay for each connection, I ended up with a **HUGE** bill and a lot of frustration. Has anyone had the same problem??? How can this happen???
Guest morpheus2702 Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 That sounds weird to me - did you have your e-mail on automatic polling, or MSN on autoconnect?
Guest mark4130 Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 I had something similar when decerting. It failed to connect over GPRS and continually tried to start GPRS sessions for the next 5 hours.. turned off phone and left overnight and it was then ok
Guest kalinte Posted March 9, 2004 Report Posted March 9, 2004 it happened to me before. now if i can only remember what i did to stop that.
Guest hecatae Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 had similar probs, 14mb of data. thrown my virgin sim in now.
Guest mrdanne Posted March 11, 2004 Report Posted March 11, 2004 I had the same problem. I tried to start Agile Messenger, but when it didn't connect I closed it down with xbar, but I think it remaind in the background invissible and continious tried to connect to the internet. Now I always shuts down internet app with their own exit. (Except for IE). It didn't result in any large bills, but may give you clue. Only solution wat to restart it. /Daniel
